Our Philosophy

The Garden Oaks Christian Academy believes in God and His Holy Word. The Bible, unapologetically, is the source of our moral guidance. We believe that the Bible commissions us to teach children to love God, themselves, and others.

For this cause, we gently plant, nurture, and challenge the seeds of developing educational passions, while inspiring students to be morally responsible as they strive for excellence. We wish to provide an academic program that helps students discover and cultivate their God-given talents while preparing them to be honorable, responsible, and productive citizens. We have high expectations and adhere to a rigorous academic standard directed by an energetic and GODly faculty and staff . The Garden Oaks Christian Academy believes that student success requires collaboration between home, school, church, and community. We also believe that the Bible teaches that parents are ultimately responsible for their own children’s moral guidance. The children at the Garden Oaks Christian Academy are happy, polite, successful, well-rounded, self disciplined students who love God, His Word, themselves, and others.

The Garden Oaks Christian Academy seeks to create an environment that is appreciative of all individuals; we are a diverse group and encourage the participation of students from various ethnic, racial, linguistic, ability, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

The Garden Oaks Christian Academy, was established in August of 2010 in response to the academic challenges that many school-age students in this area encounter. The school was also created to give parents an opportunity to choose an academic environment that is best suited for their child's learning style, temperament, and talents. The Garden Oaks Christian Academy is a diverse group and encourages the participation of students from various religious, ethnic, racial, linguistic, ability, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

SOCIAL SKILLS

Social Skills help students to know and understand the steps to being able to socially interact with peers and adults. We sometimes think that children should just automatically know how to respond to life situations. However, we find that if they are not taught, they may struggle with knowing how to respond. We will teach various social skills each month to the students. Those listed below are the ones that we will teach for this school year:

    What Client’s Say

Since graduating from pre-K at GOCA, our son was accepted into Houston Independent School District's Vanguard Program for gifted and talented students. His academic performance has been excellent due to the solid educational foundation that was set in his year of pre-K. In addition to his academic success, His social behavior improved significantly during his time at GOCA due to the firm, but kind, discipline techniques of you and your staff. I have recommended GOCA to many parents in our neighborhood and will continue to do so. Good luck with the STEM grant. GOCA would be a very deserving recipient! Regards, ”

    Chanda A., GOCA Parent

“GOCA provides a loving and caring environment for young children to develop a strong foundation. The facilities are excellent, but it is the great people that make our son so happy to attend.”
